About
ILoveAnalytics is a weblog dedicated to talking about analytics, reviewing them, their capabilities, functionality, what is great and what is not so great and how it effects those of us in the online industry – analysts, business intelligence, and customer intelligence. Also discussed are new technologies, tactics, methods that prove useful.
Who am I?
I am an analyst and provide business intelligence for an online retail company. Since I’m still employed there, I will leave it at that for now. I have worked on the online industry for over four years and have over ten years of experience with information systems.
Did I mention I love analytics? If you are reading this blog, I hope that you feel the same. Finding discrepancies and discoveries within data dug out by creating complex SQL queries makes me giddy. Creating a vast spreadsheet with complex formulas that can decipher or predict a company’s next steps, presentable to an executive board is my idea of a constructive venture. Coding and creating order from DB chaos and then loading the results into a dynamic graphic is my bread and butter. This is what I do, and what I hope to share.
Disclosures
I currently have only a personal investment in the company which I work for: an internet retailer. I do not have investments in any of the technologies or representative companies that I might write about. Opinions, tactics, suggested methods are all listed as personal insights and are open for comment and discussion. No liability is assumed for information posted within this weblog. No implied guarantee or warranty that such information provided may or may not assist in the readers pursuits.
Now – onto the Analytics!
